Orogen8 combines senior, independent ESG advisory with digital solutions that let teams do more in-house, helping companies navigate a shifting regulatory landscape and stay compliant. Built to Big-Four standard, with the rigour and traceability to make it hold up.
The landscape
ESG and sustainability regulation is moving fast and the requirements keep shifting. Few teams have the capacity to keep pace on their own. Orogen8 is the independent advisor who helps you navigate it, and increasingly, the tooling to handle more of it in-house.
What Orogen8 does
Flexible, senior ESG support across strategy, reporting, compliance, and assurance readiness. Senior support, scoped to where you are.
Book a call →Solutions and tools that hand your team the methodology, not just the output, so you can do more of the work in-house, to a standard that holds up.
Explore capabilities →Every engagement and every tool is built to Big-Four standard: independent, with limited assurance rigour and full traceability built in. So your ESG work holds up: to regulators, to assurers, and over time.
Capabilities
Orogen8 does not only advise. It builds the workpapers, models and methodologies that let a team carry the work in-house, structured, traceable, and ready for an assurance provider to test. A selection of what that looks like.
A complete ESRS pre-assurance suite: every CSRD/ESRS requirement structured, evidenced and cross-referenced to its source, mapped to ISAE 3000 (Revised), ISAE 3410 and ISSA 5000, with a findings-and-remediation tracker and an optional AI consultant. Built to run in Excel or Google Sheets, with every output logged and traceable.
Scope 1 to 3 inventories and baselining, built as Excel models, on SharePoint, or as a bespoke platform, with transparent calculations, a clear audit trail, and outputs ready to stand up to limited assurance.
A working method for topic-level double materiality under the revised ESRS, proven on live CSRD engagements: a specific assessment only where the conclusion is not evident, with the reasoning and evidence that stand behind each call.
Policies, governance arrangements and process documentation mapped to the disclosure requirements, so the narrative a company reports and the controls behind it line up.
The same rigour applied across other frameworks: IFRS S1 and S2 (ISSB), AASB S2, and the Voluntary Standard (VSME) for smaller companies.
Delivered in Excel, Google Sheets, SharePoint or a bespoke platform, wherever a team already works. Talk through what you need →
Technical Notes
Short, rigorous briefings on the parts of CSRD, ESRS and adjacent EU regulation that are actually moving, written for the people who have to act on them. Free to read; new notes as they’re published.
Directive (EU) 2024/825 applies from 27 September 2026, transposed in Ireland by S.I. 124 of 2026 and enforced by the CCPC. No new reporting regime: environmental claims now fall under consumer law, with some practices prohibited in all circumstances and others misleading only where they would change the average consumer's decision. What is banned outright, what is assessed case by case, and the evidence a claim has to be able to show.
Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 applies from 30 December 2026, and the trigger is the commodity, not your sector: seven commodities whose scope follows the material downstream into what you make. What is covered, what changed on 13 July 2026, how to tell if you are in scope, and why out-of-scope is now something you evidence rather than assert.
With the revised ESRS adopted, the terms for going to your value chain are settled: the cap is triggered by size and only size (1,000 employees), not by location, turnover or SME status. A five-move method for collecting under it, and a correction to the non-EU misreading now in circulation.
The European Commission's 3 July 2026 amendment lets materiality conclusions be reached top-down, at topic level, with a specific assessment only where the conclusion is not evident. What changes, and a working method for applying it to a double materiality assessment you have already completed.
Regulation (EU) 2025/40 applies from 12 August 2026: one text across the EU, with obligations that attach to roles per packaging stream, not to companies. A reframing of compliance as a sorting exercise: sort every stream once, and the obligations attach themselves.
Who
Founder & Principal, Orogen8 · Former Big-Four ESG advisor & assurance provider
Timsie Ho does not only advise on CSRD and ESRS. He builds the methodologies, workpapers, models and tools himself, from double materiality and GHG reporting to CSRD-aligned policy and governance, so a client team can carry the work in-house. Because he has sat on the Big-Four assurance side, the work is structured, evidenced and traceable to source, ready for an assurance provider to examine.

Delivery partners
Orogen8 is independent by design. For larger or specialist engagements it draws on a small group of senior, independent practitioners, former colleagues from a Big-Four climate and sustainability practice, who join the team for specific projects. The calibre stays constant; the capacity flexes to the work.
